Word Online, part of Office Online, can track changes even though Microsoft hasn't provided an interface yet.
Just note that it's not enabled by default and you can't turn 'Track Changes' on or off in Word Online. If you turn it on in the desktop Version of Word, Word Online will honor and keep tracking your changes even though Office Online doesn't provide an interface at this time.
If you want to track changes, create an Office doc on your desktop, turn on Track Changes, upload or sync it to workplace_ and verify that "Track Changes" is on in the bottom status bar of your Word doc in the browser. (If nothing shows, it's off.)
