Colorado passed a law earlier this month that affects RIAs. One of the requirements is for a "Succession Plan" (as part of the required "Business Continuity and Succession Planning"). This plan needs to meet the following requirements:
"Alternate means of communications with customers, key personnel, employees, vendors, service providers (including third-party custodians), and regulators, including, but not limited to, providing notice of [...] the death or unavailability of key personnel [...]"
"Assignment of duties to qualified responsible persons in the event of the death or unavailability of key personnel."
My question is: is there any way to quickly and confidently grant access to all files, emails, applications, SSO sites, and capabilities of one user (even if they are a Company Manager) to another user in case of an emergency?
If so, it would greatly simplify an appreciable portion of the planning process - thanks!
