Import Personal Browser Bookmarks into Venn

When you a launch browser from Venn into the secure enclave, the browser and its data are contained within a secure perimeter. This allows you to keep your work and personal data separate on the same computer.  Since work and personal data is separated, data such as your bookmarks, extensions, and settings will not be transferred.

Export Bookmarks from Your Browser

Google Chrome

1. Launch Chrome from your computer, not from Venn.
2. Click on the Chrome settings icon and select Bookmarks.
   
   
   
   
3. Click Bookmark Manager.
4. At the top, click the more icon and select Export Bookmarks.
5. Save the HTML file to your Desktop and name it Exported_Bookmarks.html.
6. Close Google Chrome.

Microsoft Edge

1. Launch Microsoft Edge from your computer, not from Venn.
2. Click on the Favorites icon. and select Export favorites.
   
   
   
   
3. Save the HTML file to your Desktop and name it Exported_Bookmarks.html.
4. Close Microsoft Edge.

FireFox

1. Launch Firefox from your computer, not Venn.
2. Click on the Bookmarks icon.
   
   
3. Select Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks.
   
   
   
4. Click All Bookmarks in the sidebar and then click Import and Backup.
   
   
   
   
5. Click Export Bookmarks to HTML...
6. Save the HTML file to your Desktop and name it Exported_Bookmarks.html.
7. Close Firefox.

Safari (macOS only)

1. Launch Safari.
2. Click File > Export > Bookmarks... in the menu bar.
3. Save the HTML file to your Desktop and name it Exported_Bookmarks.html.
4. Close Safari.

Import Bookmarks into Venn

Google Chrome

1. Log into Venn.
2. Launch Chrome from Venn.
3. Click on the Chrome settings icon and select Bookmarks.
   
   
   
   
4. Click Import Bookmarks and Settings...
5. Select Bookmark HTML file from the down drop menu and click Choose File.
   
6. Select the Exported_Bookmarks.html you saved to your desktop and click Open.
   Your bookmarks have been imported into Chrome.  
7. Click Done and close the tab.
   
8. Your bookmarks have been imported into your Chrome profile in Venn.

Microsoft Edge

1. Log in to Venn.
2. Launch Edge from Venn.
3. Click on the Edge setting icon and select Settings.
   
   
   
   
4. From the settings menu select Profiles and then Import browser data.
   
   
   
   
5. From Import from other browsers select Choose what to import.
   
   
   
   
6.  Click below Import from and select Favorites or bookmarks HTML file.
   
   
7. Click Choose File.
   
   
   
   
8. Select the Exported_Bookmarks.html you saved to your desktop and click Open.
   Your bookmarks have been imported into Chrome.  
9.  Click Done and close the browser tab.
10. Your bookmarks have been imported into your Chrome profile in Venn.
