Now that you've explored the Workplace design, data workflow and access policies for your company, let's look at some of the administrative features available to company managers.
These features are accessed by clicking on the Manage icon in the modern Workplace interface, which is only available to Company Managers.
This is your Company dashboard, where you'll find quick links to All Devices, All websites, All activity, and All shared files, which you can also access from the sidebar.
Listed beneath the quick links you'll find where to manage Users, Groups, and Company settings. We'll go into greater detail in upcoming modules.
You'll also see a list of all Company managers and their work email. You can always return to this page by clicking the Manage icon, or Company Dashboard in the sidebar.
In this module, we'll explore a few of these features listed in the sidebar: All sharing, All account activities, and Theme.
First we'll look at All sharing. In this section we're going to see all of the files shared by members of my team. You also have the ability to look at the link that's been shared, and even view the activity for those files.
All Account Activities
Next, let's take a look at All account activities. We've talked about the users who travel and have multiple devices, or the user who works from a shared home computer. How can you keep track of all devices and user activity in these scenarios? Fortunately, with Workplace, you have full visibility into every user account in your company, their devices, and their data flow.
You'll find things like who did what when, where, and from what device. This can be really helpful if a device is ever lost or stolen. And, if you thought an account or device was compromised, you could check to make sure there was no unrecognized activity from that account. Take a minute to scroll through your activity list to discover all the information available.
Just a note: Activity is pulled via the IP address, and may not reflect the exact location of the device.
Also, select the Pro-filter. Here you can really fine-tune your search. Sort by user or group, and all of the many activity filters available, such as
Account was blocked due to suspicious file activity or user logged in to application with temporary access
You can audit and report activity 24/7, and also export a .CSV file by clicking the Export activity button. We'll go into more reporting options in an upcoming module.
The next topic we're going to cover is Theme, which you'll find in the sidebar. Company managers have the ability to customize the appearance of Workplace.
You can upload a new image, which appears in your Workplace Web app.
And, you can Select main color based on your logo color palette
You can modify the background image and change the logo on your sign-in page.
Or simply reset your theme to default.
