Every company sets a password expiration for greater security. You can go to the Workplace Web App and find the expiration date in Settings. For your convenience, Workplace helps to remind you 7 days prior to your password expiration, and will continuously remind you with every log in. All you have to do is click "Change Password", and you'll be redirected to the Workplace Web App. Another window will appear reminding you not to get locked out.
This is an important note: If your other devices repeatedly try to sign in with your old password they will trigger an account lock-down.
Workplace alerts you with a list of your other devices, and you'll need to change your password on these devices to keep working.
Click "Got it" to get to the Change password form, where you'll type in your old password, and then your new password. Toggle the preview icon if you want to see your new password as you type it.
And, when logging in, if you've forgotten your password, you can click "Forgot your password?" which will also redirect you to a password form on the Workplace Web App. First, you'll type in your username and click Continue.
You'll be asked to enter your mobile number for verification. Once you get the code, you'll be taken to the New password form.
If you allow your password to expire, you'll receive a pop up message allowing you to click "Change Password", or you can click "Quit Workplace" for now until you're ready to change your password.
In the next module of the Workplace GA: 104 course, you'll learn how to troubleshoot slow app performance.
