It’s still always best to save your work and close your hosted apps at the end of each workday. It’s important to know your application servers will have a reboot schedule and other possible maintenance. On the other hand, if you know you still have some work to do after hours when you get home, Workplace offers an easy solution. When I click the power button at the top right corner of the web app, you’ll notice that I’m prompted with a warning because I have two apps running. The first option is to pause my Citrix applications. Choosing this option will disconnect me from my Citrix session and leave the applications running in the cloud. This can be helpful on those days when I know that I have to put some finishing touches on the document later when I get home from work. As long as your home computer is an approved device, and you have Workplace installed, you’ll be able to re-connect your sessions. Also, if you go to your Web App, you’ll see a Reconnect button at the top of the page.
The second option is to close my hosted applications without saving my work. This will simply terminate the programs that I have open and log me out of the Workplace web app.
Now that you've really gotten to know the workplace web app and it's many components, let's learn about your desktop app resources.
