Now let's talk about Sharing.
As long as file sharing is permitted by your Workplace administrator or Company Manager, you can create a link where a recipient can preview and/or download shared files.
To Create a share link, hover your mouse to the right of the file you'd like to share. Click Share.
Choose between the three types of links:
- Public: Easy sharing for non sensitive files like marketing collateral or newsletters.
- Tracked: See the recipient's mobile number in the activity log. This is great for sharing a meeting agenda!
- Private: For sensitive files, restricted by mobile number. Use this type of link for things like receipts, reports, or other confidential files.
For Private links, you will be asked to specify the mobile number of the recipient(s)
Copy the URL provided by Workplace and send it to the recipient via via email, chat, SMS, or whatever other method you prefer.
You'll find all shared files on the Launch page on the left-hand side.
You'll see the Link symbol to the right of the file that has already been shared.
When a share link is no longer needed, you can break the link by clicking on the link symbol, and on the lower left side, click break link. Or, simply click the x to the right of the file.
When you work together with teammates, sometimes you want to know who has modified what. From the workplace web app you can check the history of your work folders by choosing View history.
You can view deleted or moved files, and even sort by date.
So that's how you work with your files and folders in the Workplace Web App.
