Apple's upcoming version of its operating system, macOS Big Sur, is expected to be released to the public in November 2020.
At this time, Workplace for Mac is not supported for use on macOS Big Sur. We recommend users to delay updating your computers at least until an update to Workplace is released that supports macOS Big Sur. At this time, OS33 does not have an expected release date for this update to Workplace.
As another consideration, due to the major changes in the underlying code of macOS Big Sur, many antivirus software vendors have indicated that they will not have supported versions of their software upon the release of macOS Big Sur. Due to this lack of antivirus software vendor support, we continue to strongly suggest that you delay upgrading to macOS Big Sur until your antivirus vendor offers support as well.
As a reminder, OS33 recommends that users avoid early adoption of new operating systems for both Mac and Windows computers, as such releases often introduce unpredictable results for a variety of software, and can cause unnecessary disruptions to your firm's operations.
While we are committed to assisting machines running Workplace, at this time we cannot immediately address issues related to macOS Big Sur.
Thank you for being a valued Workplace customer, and please feel free to your Customer Success Manager with any other questions or concerns.
