Uninstalling Workplace – Workplace Help Center

This Feature Is Available to the Following Users and Product Types

End-Users, Company Managers and MSP Partners
VDA Essentials, VDA Essentials Hybrid, VDA LocalZone, VDA Hybrid LZ, Workplace Select and Workplace Stronghold

The following steps describe how to uninstall Workplace Desktop.

Navigate to Program and Features in Control Panel.
Navigate to Add/Remove programs.
Select Workplace.
Click Uninstall.
It is recommended to restart the computer after uninstalling Workplace.

Navigate to Apps in Settings.
Select Workplace under Apps and features.
Click Uninstall.
It is recommended to restart the computer after uninstalling Workplace.

Quit Workplace.
Navigate to the Applications folder.
Drag Workplace.app to the Trash.
You will be prompted for administrator credentials.

Deleting the Workplace app from the application folder will not fully uninstall Workplace for Mac.
To fully uninstall Workplace for Mac:

Copy and run the following command

python3 /Applications/Workplace.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall.py

The script will prompt for administrator credentials. Enter your password and press return.

Workplace for Mac will be fully uninstalled once the script exits cleanly. It is recommended to restart the computer after uninstalling Workplace.
