A contact is not a user, although the process of creating one is very similar. Contacts are used to set up email forwards to external accounts, so they can’t sign into Workplace and don’t have access to the system. Company managers can set up email forwards.
Data tags are essentially the information your employees are asked for during the onboarding process. This information filters down to the company directory. Company managers can request additional data tags, such as Skype accounts, if they want to.

Sign in & sign-in
“Sign in”: It’s what you do to start work. The “Sign-in” page is where you go to sign in. At workplace_ we use “sign in” not “log on” or “in”. Trouble signing in?
It makes the system more secure by verifying your sign-ins on another device (or more). Industry lingo: two-factor (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA). Learn more about sign-in verification.
